Waldens

Tutorial in Canterbury this morning so I thought I'd go up to the coast on my way home to see what was about. The tide was full and apart from a skein of Brent geese which passed as I arrived it was just grey birds against a grey sky and a grey sea. Sling in a very cold grey wind and you've got the sense of it.

This shop is opposite where I parked and one can imagine that at the height of summer (some years ago) it would have been surrounded by a forest of twirly stands selling postcards and a gaiety of plastic buckets and spades and beach balls and thronged by smiling people in shorts. I'd guess that it hasn't been that busy over recent years as the seaside holiday has declined and today it looked barren and forlorn.

Beer o'clock I think - enjoy your Saturday folks
