Light Day

I lay in bed last night listening to the rain pouring down and was pleased I wouldn't have to scrape the ice off the car.

I was woken by a neighbour obviously having trouble scraping ice off his car.

Bummer......................

So after scraping the ice off the car ............ it was off to Linlithgow for the last craft fair of the year.

The light was lovely and I was 'forced' to stop and get a shot of the sun coming over the Pentlands.
I was quite pleased when I got to Linlithgow and the palace tower was bathed in a decent light.

Much better than the light in the Masonic Hall.

I had been going to get some more pictures of the Palace but apparently the whole palace and grounds are shut to real people because they are getting ready for some fandabby fashion show with all the "beautiful" people with their heads up their own arses egomaniacs from the fashion industry coming on Tuesday.

For some inexplicable reason the cooncil thinks that it is going to bring lots of money into the town.

How?
The dick heads egomaniacs 'Stars' are arriving by limos and helicopter from Edinburgh and Glasgow where they are staying, attending the fashion show (to which no local is allowed near) and leaving again.
The catering is not being given to local buisnesses.
Security is 'brought in'
The building work inside the palace (to keep the bigheads people attending) dry and warm ---- since the venue doesn't actually have a roof ---- is being done by specialists (brought in).
No jobs are being created.
There is nothing for future tourists to come and see.
Locals are being prevented from going about their daily buisness (even teachers at the local school 1/4 mile away aren't allowed to park in their car park for a week and are having to be 'bussed in' from where they are having to park).
Extra police are freezing their nuts off patroling the streets for the week before.

How is this generating money for the town?

Another money wasting exercise by people full of their own importance I would say.
