Leaving Ludhiana

A friendly shunter driver manoeuvres a wagon in the yard at Ludhiana Junction, as our passenger train (which we joined at Ambala Cantonment Junction, after a lively, mostly downhill bus ride from Shimla!) heads for Amritsar.

In the background, some unknown thinker has sketched out their own personal philosophy (in English) on the wall: "STRENGTH IS LIFE WEAK NESS IS DEATH".
