Catching Crabs
This is, I must admit, a very lazy blip.
After I finally found my pop-up flash diffuser, I popped out to the back garden for five minutes, to snap at the little crab apple trees on the terrace.
Big apples
Up until now the birds have left these little apples alone, but this morning I saw the blackbird daintily picking them off then devouring them on the ground, so I thought I should take the opportunity to show you the wonderful colours. We also have a bright yellow crab, as well as several eating and culinary apples planted around this sitting area.
(I am deliberately avoiding the use of the word patio. Garden designers don't say patio. My Grandma read an article on self-improvement once which recommended you to learn one new word a day. She tried to keep to this and one time in conversation dropped in the word patio, which she had read in a book. Unfortunately she had never heard it said so rhymed it with ratio, much to the stifled guffaws of everybody. I can still hear her saying, "and we were sitting on the paishio, drinking tea..."
I still really miss my grandma.
