It’s dark and frosty. I take the X15, barely warmer than the bike, much slower, yet so much more productive - I get to read.

High point of the day - tomato & chilli soup in the canteen.

I walk to Regent Road in the dark to await the X15 back to Penicuik. I pop into the convenience store just before Abbeymount and buy a veg samosa - a habit I’m developing. Then I doze on the warm, humid bus as it makes its tortuous way across town.
