A Star Comes On.....

......A star goes Out.
The sad news for us today is that my uncle Noel (so named as he was born on December 8th) has passed away this morning after problems with his health over the past six years. An ex champion cyclist he was the youngest of three boys. The chalice of elder statesman of our tribe now passes down to me. I guess that means I am likely to be next on the grim reaper's list.
We had only just hung this star in our window the night before. A star comes on and another goes out. Such is life.
Likely to be missing for a few days. As soon as we hear the funeral arrangements we will be away to Ireland.
