Stirling Old Bridge
I was back in Stirling again today, this time to meet cousin Alison for her belated birthday lunch. I had a few minutes to spare before picking her up from the station, so I stopped for a quick blip in the rain at the Old Bridge, scene of the famous battle in 1297.
The menu at The Crannog is different since it changed hands - more like pub grub these days - and it looks as if customers are voting with their feet. The place was very quiet.
Alison chose the macaroni cheese and I ordered the haddock and chips, which, although very delicious, was so huge that I couldn't finish it. That's a first for me!
