Flag Tree

It started because our tree wasn't doing so well. The leafs were falling off, and it was looking quite bare. So we hung a few flags up to fill the empty space.

Now the tree is doing much better, and we've added more flags. Each flag is a memory. They all represent someone we have had over for a meal from another country. Most people we've met through the university, both students and professors. Other people have been neighbors, exchange students, or friends of friends.

There's about 28 flags in the tree now, and we're still looking for a flag from Bangladesh. It's a wonderful way to remember people and a great conversation starter.
