Mutually Assured Distraction

In some recent troubled times this wee exchange between the sprogs made me smile. Surprisingly good last ever parents night for Sam tonight. And now he's upstairs, conscientiously avoiding revision in spectacularly blatant fashion by playing a video game with his wee sister, mainly to keep her distracted from her bucketload of worries, even though you can tell she's working overtime to keep them at bay. First time they've played a video game together in months, maybe even a year? I can hear them laughing. Mutually assured distraction.

Erm....Are video games still a thing? Or should I be calling them something else these days?
