Wednesday: Her Majesty Admires The Tree
We put the tree up at work today so the festive spirit is now all around.
I was invited to my Portuguese colleagues for lunch today - she cooked a typical Portuguese meal, starting with green soup (it’s actually called that, rather than me showing a lack of descriptive imagination), baked salt cod, finishing with pavlova (ok, maybe that wasn’t so Portuguese), and an egg custard tart to go with coffee. It was lovely but I’m not sure how often I can do four course, three hour lunches.
Another Christmas reception but given my lunch I didn’t have any difficulty resisting temptation.
