It's the thought that counts......

What a day in the kitchen!
Decided to make a heart shaped cake with lemon curd filling to complement the chocolate/fudge icing.
Then I decided to make my own lemon curd and chocolate topping.
Several hours later with bits of butter, lemon zest, flour, cocoa powder and other miscellaneous ingredients decorating all the nooks and crannies of the kitchen, mission accomplished [ well sort of ].
Stuck my elbow in the icing, nearly let it slide off the plate, got chocolate on the camera but after all of that it is heart shaped.

But hey it's Valentine's Day and it's the thought that counts....

Now, where's the wine ????????
