Little red ladybird

It's my last day borrowing TeeJay's macro lens, so I went on a hunt to see what I could find. This wee ladybird was on the ute's tyre - I never realised before how evil ladybird's can look!

We had 4mls of rain overnight, not nearly enough to help the very dry cracked ground. It has reached 24 degrees today, and the wind is driving me, and everyone else, mad. The boys are in the swimming pool, although they say it is very cold - can't be too cold through, as they are still out there having fun!
