Baking!

The kitchen is smelling fragrant ..... the Christmas cake is in the oven :-)
I simmered all the fruit with a rather large amount of whisky on Saturday afternoon, then let it mature a little, today I made the cake! It's still in the oven, and will be there for another 2 hours, then it will be wrapped up in baking parchment and tin foil until Christmas. I don't always put marzipan and royal icing on the cake, that's a decision for later :-)
