Narcissi Paperwhite

I read about these flowers and thought they would be lovely to grow. It was advised to add vodka to the water to stunt the growth as the flowers would become too heavy on long stems and make them fall over.  It seems to have worked. The only problem is it may be dead by the time I come back from my next jaunt. 
The boiler is fixed and at a great time so I was able to get to pilates.
