Silent Light ???

These Xmas Lights at the end of Edinburgh's George Street have been entitled "Silent Light" ( copying the christmas carol ) but to my mind they might well have as well been called 'Screaming Lights" as they are so over the top and gaudy. Edinburgh's Xmas seems to have been hijacked by commercial interests as this is intended to be an outdoor disco with the music being relayed via headsets. What has happened to the sophisticated and subtle Xmas lights that used to run the length of George Street !

However they have given me some scope to play with abstract designs as you can see from my extra.
