Christmas Markets

We got a tram today to the Olympic Park although the stop seemed to be in the middle of nowhere! It was a long walk and when we got there it was eerily quiet and seemed quite deserted. As we got nearer to the Olympic tower there were a few more people around and a lift took us to 181 metres high at 7 seconds per minute. As we had to do the long walk back to the tram stop we were both very tired by the time we got back to the apartment.

As it is our last night after a rest we headed back to the Christmas markets. There are stalls and lights as far as the eye can see including 12 stalls entirely devoted to nativity figures. Decorations, sweets, bratwurst and gluhwein make up most of the rest of them. It certainly feels very festive.

After nearly 20,000 steps today it will be good to get home for a rest tomorrow!
