In Chiang Mai. ...
.....you never know when an elephant will appear. I spotted this elephant hiding in a café garden.
The last couple of days have be fairly quiet. We have met a lovely young lady from South Korea, she is traveling alone, but was fortunate enough to move next door to a friend of ours M. We met her in a restaurant. We received a message from M asking where we were having dinner. We replied but heard no more, so you can imagine our surprise when five minutes after our arrival M walked in with his new friend. The following night they joined us and another couple at an Indian Restaurant. As L said, she may have arrived alone, but she now has friends.
On Wednesday she went in the pool for the first time, she cannot swim and was very nervous. Unfortunately it was a day when I wasn't swimming (I'd been to the hairdressers ). Hubby and M did a sterling job building her confidence and encouraging her to float on her back, I supervised from the side. Hopefully on Friday I will be in the pool and can help her.
Weather wise it is still very warm and just slightly cooler at night.
