Cabbage Tree Flowers

It is thought that if the cabbage tree flowers early, and has lots of flowers, we will get a good summer. The flowers are certainly abundant at the moment, so hopefully we will have a good summer. It has been unsettled so far.
This tree is on the the Millennium walking track, where Inwalked this morning. I didn’t realise until I looked at the photo on my IPad , that a bee was landing on one of the flowers! A bonus.

We are off to Glenorchy tomorrow to do some day walks for a few days. I’m not sure of Internet reception, so I may be off line.
