Fondue al fresco

Samichlaus is more celebrated in these parts than in our own culture. The local mountaineering club gathered some of their members together for a fondue in the woods on an open fire with orange punch and gluhwein and a few stronger tipples. Never has a fondue tasted so good on every mouthful. We carried up wood for the fire, drinks, cakes etc. into the Stazerwald and chatted and laughed under a clear star studded sky. It was a lovely evening,
The walk back proved a little bit tougher as I managed to topple over a rock and come to a thudding landing just before the end of the evening. Talk about attention seeking! It was the tamest trip with the club and I couldn't even manage that without an episode! No major harm done.
