Frosty sunrise

Got up early this morning to catch the frost. Unfortunately not quite early enough as the intense red sky I saw from my bedroom window had faded considerably by the time I got out. I was hoping there might be a bit of mist but will have to leave that for another day.

This shot shows the river Alne which flows through my village a short way from my house. There was a fisherman out as well.

The grass at the bottom right of the picture shows flattening by the floods last week. Fortunately all of the houses in the village are built above the flood plain although the roads regularly flood.
