Flower Friday: (Early) Christmas Cactus

Our Christmas Cacti always seem to flower a few weeks early, and this year is no exception. Anyway it's nice to have some colour in the house in the dreary winter weather we've been having.

You're probably getting fed up with my images taken with my modified Helios lens but I'm rather taken with it and I'm trying to experiment to find out how best to use it. I photographed the cactus on the windowledge - the twirly bokeh is the effect the lens produced from the bare tree branches in the garden.
