Sunday at the Lion Park

Having been told that yesterday's stuffed lion at the Museum has living relatives in a park nearby, I set out this morning to find them. Ethiopian lions are genetically distinct, being smaller than other African lions and having a dark mane. There are about 20 captive lions in Addis, and they live in a zoo called the Lion Park. It costs 2 birr to get in (20 if you aren't Ethiopian, and that's about 75p). It was obviously a popular place for families on a Sunday, and children were enjoying the rides in a small funfair.
The lions were mostly asleep - they had been fed about an hour earlier.
