Tawny Frogmouth

This beauty is living in the backyard of some friends in Leichhardt.

There is so much to say about these birds that I hardly know where to begin, so I suggest if you want to find out more you could start here.

There are two chicks who at this stage are little white balls of fluff, but who will soon look like this.
I plan to return soon with a long lens.

Of course, it's not much of a challenge to photograph a bird sitting stock still, but it was a thrill to see it.
