A flare for extinction

The reality is that we can't just go cold turkey on fossil fuels, but it doesn't look good right now from everything we see, hear and read. Reminds me of the three wise monkeys, see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.

Perhaps things will work out if sanity prevails. If not, in 50 million years there will be another species contemplating their existence instead of us. The earth itself will be fine.
