We did our annual poinsettia shopping excursion today rather than wait until the end of the month because our kids, who normally make the pilgrimage with us, will not be visiting this Christmas. Even though there is a new location on the way to the Mega store, we shopped at our usual location on Plaza Kioto. This vendor was unimpressed by the two gringos looking over his wares until my wife started selecting various plants. Then he was intensely interested in helping her pick out as many as we could conveniently carry to our waiting vehicle.
