The inside...
Camshaft, rollers, excentrics of a 2100 HP engine built in 1951 and still going strong....
We had to dismantle the casing to get access to a lubricating nozzle which was leaking fresh cooling water into the inner side of the engine. Caused by a defective gasket.
There was too much water detected in a sample of our lubricating oil so now the oil (1000 liter) was pumped out of the engine to have it cleaned at a specialized company. The oil can be restored to almost the normal quality which is a lot cheaper compared to buying new lube oil.
