The HG is the namesake of his Uncle Robert (known nowadays as Bob!)

We today attended Uncle Robert's 100th birthday party.  I have never known anyone who is 100 before so it was quite a day and quite a party.  It was organised by his son, Young Robert, who is in the middle of the picture of the three of them in my collage.  Also one of Uncle Robert with his eldest daughter, Jean.  

It was a great afternoon, with dancing, singing, lots of talk and memories, meeting people we hadn't seen for a long time, and a super hot buffet.  They did him proud!

We also had a blipmeet, as Croftcrafts and I met up with Bernard for the first time.  It was really nice to have a brief chat.  I put a photo on extras of the three of us.
