Safely in the car after a long walk by Derwentwater...

Castlerigg Stone Circle is near Keswick...It is 30 metres in diameter and there are 38 stones. The tallest stone is 2.3 metres high. It was built around 3000BC.

The land is owned by the National Trust and it is maintained by English Heritage.
