Black 5

I missed seeing 'Duchess of Sutherland' on this stretch of track yesterday but decided to go and see this one this morning. It's a 'Black 5' No 44871; not a named or glamorous engine, but still steam and still great to see working hard up the main line. This was pulling the 'Cathedrals Express' from London Kings Cross to Lincoln.

There'll be a chance to see the 'Duchess' next Saturday morning in her new red livery if I can drag myself out of bed in time; it's an early one as the train is going all the way up to Edinburgh.
