Quiet Reflection

I went for a walk at dusk, the shot is Muscle Creek. In the early 1800’s a team from the Surveyor Generals Department were mapping routes from Sydney to inland Australia. The surveyors camped for several days while they mapped the area. While collecting water they found an abundance of muscles in the brook as the streams were known. No surprisingly the area became known as Muscle Brook, later changed to Muswellbrook. Never underestimate the importance of crustaceans. The extra photo is from The first of September and shows the starting kilometres of the motorhome which I drove across Australia and back again. Each day for the next month, I will include an extra blip covering each day of the trip, 9,250km. Tomorrow’s extra blip will be heading to Broken Hill. Thank you for visiting.
