F35 Fighters and a swallow
I ducked out of work this morning and went to Fort Scratchley to gain a vantage point to see the two new F35 Joint Strike fighters do their fly past on their arrival to Newcastle (Williamtown base). It's a wonder Dad's Army at the Fort didn't fire the guns at them which they often like to do to send off or welcome cruise liners and the like. I suppose that might not have gone down so well.
They did a quick run down the coast as far as Redhead and then came back and flew over the city which is where they are here. I thought at first they had another jet following to film but on closer inspection it is a swallow. The tugs at least are giving them a non combative hello. If you are interested, the F35s are the second from the top and the jet on the bottom of the formation. The others are hornets (I believe).
A shame you weren't up here Beckett, you would have loved it.
Thank you to JohnEdward for hosting Mono Monday's challenge - vantage.
