Dive
At low tide, the seagulls pick up clams from the beach, then fly in the air to drop them on the ground. Either they want to break open the shells or shock the clams into opening on their own. Sometimes it seems to be raining clams!
I've always wanted to catch one in the act and today I finally managed it. See, they don't just eat chips, sandwiches, dead fish and trash. On the other hand, sometimes they just swallow the clams whole.
