With a certain flare !
5.6C Frosty but a touch of warmth in the sun. Blue sky.
We went grocery shopping in Arbroath again so the blip is from the harbour wall looking out to sea. It is hard to resist stopping to have a walk and get some photos when the sun is out, the sky is blue, the light is clear, and the colours are singing loud. We saw a rig being towed towards Dundee by a little fleet of tugs. Right out on the horizon. I had to shoot straight into the sun to catch it. You might need your sunglasses to look at it for long !
When we got home and the shopping was put away Apothecary7, Maeve the Deerhound, and I went for a walk before lunch. We followed our usual route to the shore via the field with the bridle path, but didn't go over the level crossing and down to the beach or the Fishermen's huts. We saw the rig and the tugs again, but they looked much closer to shore as they approached the outer edge of the Tay estuary. So close in fact that Maeve remarked on her hope that they were far enough out to get past the sandbank at the mouth of the Tay near Barry Links, as she could see the little waves breaking on it near to their course !
Later I shall conjure up some Chicken Satay with fluffy white rice for dinner. There will be Chardonnay too :-)
A few more shots here.
