JR was definitely much better today. And I think the recovery was hastened by the urge to get to the shop to buy little candles for the mantelpiece greenery. She was worried about them being sold out! She had tried to go at the weekend, but just wasn’t quite up to it.

However, the candles were duly acquired and attached, and they're perfect.

I took Archie up the hill on a lovely afternoon. It wasn’t so boggy and squishy underfoot, so it was very pleasant for both of us.

Rufus and his mum were coming for drinks in the evening, along with our neighbour. I put the 'Yo Ho Ho' bandana on Archie, and he put up with it for a while. Here he is awaiting the visitors. Note the new decorations...
