Canned Windsor

Yesterday, a jar ... today, a can.  One of those decorative cans filled with candy that the souvenir shops sell.  I did not get this from Windsor, though, but from a local shop, I forget which one.  They probably got it from Windsor, ate its contents, then put something else inside, which we in turn polished off.  Now it contains small bits of rope, rubber bands, plastic clips, and it's on my shelf.

Another wet day of MOOC and rain, although there were some dry patches in between (also with the MOOC).  Risks and Threats is an interesting topic -- it details everything that is going on in the world right now, and I can see why the lecturer delayed giving the course again.  He wanted to include as much of the current situation as he could, so the present leadership crisis in the US is in there, together with the Brexit issues, civil wars, the refugee crisis, natural disasters, climate change, epidemics, and more.  We read all this in the news but he approaches the topics in very detailed fashion, outlining the causes, implications, reasons, and possible solutions, and you're left wondering why the current leadership everywhere aren't doing anything about it.  Frightening scenarios and much cause for concern.  It's no longer far away somewhere else, but right here.
