Cutting the kale
I was fortunate in meeting Tony on my walk around the lanes this afternoon. I had been eyeing up his black kale for a couple of weeks. He very kindly cut me some and wouldn't take anything for it. We discussed the frosts and what combination of rain and frost is most damaging. The Openreach engineer came in the morning and spent an hour or more up the nearest telegraph poles re-routing wires. The problem has been caused by wires rubbing on trees across the road but mature trees take precedence over wires strung between the poles. The internet speed is slower now so there may be more work to do.
