Calibrating the oven

The "fixed" oven, turned out to be not so "fixed" - it nuked our lunch yesterday.   In 30 minutes, the fish was DONE !

In an attempt to NOT nuke, my breakfast biscuits, Mom fished out, this fahrenheit based thermometer, to try to establish the ACTUAL temperature of the oven.  Clearly if the dial says its 180 degrees C - it's NOT, it's way hotter.

I established it is approx 30 degrees C hotter.

Unfortunately I burnt the biscuits in the process. 

It's going to be a long week, they're even worse than last week's "burnt" offering, that was baked in the farm oven.  I left these in too long, because there was a timer failure.
