Cars, Quotes and Calculators

Been a whirl of a day, and in a quiet spell with Allegra, while Mike had taken Deb and Zion to the dentist, and Paul was having a nap, suddenly remembered I hadn't taken a photo. We were making roads and seeing if we could make the cars go all the way to the end without falling off.

Such a strange feeling to be here in our house, as though we'd never left, and yet remembering we have a whole other life...

Today's Advent reading was Jesus' parable of the lost sheep in Matthew 18: 12-14:

If someone has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders off, doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine and go after the one?

Then it (it's in Portuguese) quotes Fernando Pessoa's poem, "Freedom", where Pessoa says that Jesus Christ knew nothing about finances, and what a good job that is; he "wastes" time on the one who wanders off. God does his accounts with his coração (heart), not his calculator, and that is good news for us wanderers.
