Still no heating or hot water. The company are very sorry but the guy who was dealing with my estimate got called out of the office. 

So I've called a different company, they'll be round on Thursday. 

A quiet day at work, though we have a newbie and I spent the afternoon taking her through some basics. Explaining how we went to a French bank and opened an account in Britain that only handles Euros, but we have to audit it in dollars. She seems pretty quick on the uptake, but I am worried about anyone who has managed to get a job in our office and still thinks they have to ask before they can go to the loo. 

I told her - Don't ask, just tell us.
