A narrow escape

Was outside photographing a flower (poor blip inspiration ;-) when I noticed that my cat was chasing something! On closer inspection I found what. Not sure if she would have eaten him (her?) but I expect that his tail missing is not a good sign. So after a couple of photos I picked him up and put him away, hidden in the grass.
