Art Deco

This is the former Odeon Cinema, originally the Paramount, in Renfield Street Glasgow. It was built in the 1930s and closed a number of years ago in a sad state. I remember taking two children from my family here to see the first StarWars film and being able to park outside the door! They are now in their fifties! In the 1960s the auditorium famously presented the Beatles and the Rolling Stones to Glasgow audiences. It’s now been restored to its full Art Deco glory.
