21 today, Happy Birthday Mollie

Today our lovely Mollie is 21. I’ll spare you the details of that Friday in 1997, but the memories are still vivid for me. (I’m not a natural when it comes to child birth) It was a long day. But it was so worth it. I still wonder how we produced such a beautiful, positive, caring human being - I’m just glad we did. So many lives are richer for it. Today, she is celebrating with Josh and other uni friends in Manchester. I did have a quick chat with her this morning, if only to get her to listen to a birthday shout out on Vanessa Feltz breakfast show at 6.28am. Not surprisingly she didn’t hear it, but you can listen again on the radio 2 iPlayer. When she listened to it, she said it was ‘cool’! Cool is not how you’d describe the number one in the singles charts when she was born in 1997, which was ‘Eh oh’ by the Teletubbies!!

I worked from home this morning, then joined my work colleagues for a whole team meeting in Norwich, where we ended the day with a short team building exercise. In groups, we had to make a Christmas tree with the bits provided in a bulky envelope. Suffice to say, we all did something different. Very creative.

Home about 5. I plan to make Christmas cards for the office tonight. No stamps needed. That should then be the end of cards!! (For 12 months anyway)
