Silver Stags
Alan worked from home this morning but finished at lunch time, and I worked through my lunch so that I could finish at 3pm. So I caught the bus to work and Alan came to pick me up so we could set off on our journey North.
Even with an early start there was about 17 miles of slow moving traffic on the M25, but once we got on the M40 it wasn’t too bad. I wanted to stop at Bicester Village as there was a blouse I liked at the Tommy Hilfiger store at Gunwharf Quays the other week, but they didn’t have my size. Luckily they had it at Bicester, so was a little treat to myself after my weight loss :-).
We than got a quick bite to eat at Itsu, and after using the toilet facilities we were ready to set off on the second half of our journey. Bicester is about half way, and is only a few miles off the motorway, so it’s a great stop off rather than the motorway services.
These silver stags are a resident feature at Bicester, but I thought they looked quite nice in their Christmas ruffles.
We’re now back on the road and we should be at mum’s by 9.30pm, so I’m blipping while Alan drives. I think I’ve more or less caught up with you all now, but as this is our pre-Christmas visit with our family, I don’t know how much time I’ll have to comment over the next few days, so apologies if I fall behind again!
As for the boys, Charlotte the doggy sitter arrived after we left, so they’re in good hands!
