Blessings and roses

Today is the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the title of an appearance of the Virgin Mary on a hill in Mexico in December 1531.
In the cold of winter, she caused roses to blossom.

She's the patron saint of St. Mary's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland, the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon, the United States, Mexico, and the Americas.

We like her a lot. My favorite book about her is "Our Lady of the Lost and Found" by Diane Schoemperlen.

I send blessings on her feast.
Whatever you need blessings for, let Our Lady provide them. After all, she can make roses bloom even in the winter cold.
May your path be strewn with roses!
