Little Elf

This was taken at Bo'ness Steam Railway where each December they have 8 old type carriages pulled by the Santa Express Steam train along to a station further along the line. Santa dishes out presents on the train, there is a sing song, anyone who has a birthday gets a big group happy birthday sung from everyone in the carriage (there were 3 Cameron told me). It's a special trip, all the kids faces when they see Santa is lovely, and the adults get hot mince pies and tea served on the platform on return..

While my family were away on the train I took Breagha a walk in the woods at the side of the station. I passed a lady with a Staffie on a lead walking past me but later I met another lady with 2 big dogs who told me that she met a couple with two Westies who had attacked one of them and they warned her to watch out for it! They guy had to kick the staffie off the poor wee Westie and they were taking it to the vet as it was bleeding at the neck........ I thankfully did not see it when I was walking back........

Anyway, I was back for the train returning, and I spotted the gang and also spotted Santa and asked him if he would pose with Ben (who loves Santa unlike Cameron and this age just looked and wouldn't speak to him.....).

It's good to keep this tradition of taking the kids to the Santa train each December, we started it when Cameron was young, can't remember the year, maybe 2006, and although there were less of us than previous years the fun and laughter were just the same, probably more as Ben is just the funniest wee boy, he charms everyone that meets him with his enormous smile, big blue eyes and his cheeky way of speaking. (Of course I am biased)!!
