Ice Patterns

The lake froze over several weeks ago. Since then we have had thaw weather, refreezing, rain (lots of rain), and several dustings of snow. So I'm not surprised how patterned the ice is.
It's the first walk we've taken since getting back from the UK. Partly it's a sign of returning health and partly that the weather was so much better, dry, -7°C, blue sky, and a thin scattering of frost/snow.
Later in the day we went to watch a film; "The Wife", starring Glenn Close.  I'm sure we will see this film again at Film Studio next year, and I look forward to seeing it a second time, particularly Close's incredible performance.
