Wood on Wednesday

With the temperature still hovering at the freezing point (32F), I don't like to venture out much. Instead, I retreated to my downstairs workshop and got out the paint brushes.

I traced and wood-burned my favorite bird, and then began painting. Sometimes I "borrow" an image from the internet, but this photo is of a bird that I shot in Florida last year.

The piece is 16 inches high, and 11 inches wide. It's always fun to see a 2 day project progress.

In another 6 weeks or so, I hope to be shooting the big bird again.
