Thrushes and Frogs
Fascinated today by the number of thrush-bashed snail shells scattered around the garden.
They've been utilising various rocks and patches of concrete to break open these tasty morsels.
Favourite one is next to the pond. I went up to have a look at the pond to see if there is any frogspawn yet, as previous years we've usually heard the frogs croaking away under the floor* by now, and had piles of glooey spawn filling the pond. This year though, no sign of the frogs. Neither heard or seen them. It's been much colder, of course, so that must be the reason. But I'm missing sitting in the evening watching telly and hearing frogs croak under your feet.
(* They hibernate under the house! :) )
