Abstract Thursday - Colourful

For the challenge today I thought I'd take a close up of a paperweight I have, distort the photo by liquefying it and then turn it into an orb / a colourful xmas bauble. Yes it is garish!

Bauble facts:
- Baubles were first invented in Germany in the late 1840s.
- They have their history in fruit and nut shaped glass, the shape eventually changing to become a spherical shape.
- Queen Victoria brought the bauble tradition from Germany in the mid to late 19 century
- American F.W. Woolworth became rich by being the main importer of the decoration in the USA, in 1880.
- Baubles were originally quite expensive as they were hand-crafted and made of glass, and were therefore only for the rich.
