Christmas Window

Our winter window has been transformed in to Christmas window today although FC will have to go back in his bag for a few days more.  The rather large tree (!) is decorated, the candles out on the hearth, the lights hung around the window.  Tony and I took a walk to the garden centre in search of the ingredients for a garland for our new fireplace.  We had looked at one made up but it was serious money and would have dried up and died from the heat from the stove, so we are rather pleased with one we have made from scratch which will come out year on year.

We are now looking forward to seeing the big kids.  Jen and Pete will be coming on the Day itself, meanwhile Becky and Rob arrive early on Sunday morning from across the pond (hopefully after the weather has gone through) and will be dividing their two week holiday between both sets of parents and Edinburgh.
